  We have a gas fireplace that we bought in 2010 from another company. Last summer it began turning on even though the thermostat was set at 70 degrees. The fireplace would mysteriously turn itself on even when the remote controller had no batteries. Our fireplace maintenance guy and even the tech at the manufacturer's company (Travis Industries) told us that there was something sending a signal to the fireplace receiver and that we must find out what it was - An impossible task!! I called Lisac and they immediately knew what I was talking about and came to replace the receiver - a $40 part!! We didn't have the remote at the time the technician arrived to replace the receiver, so he couldn't program it. When I called Lisac to say the fireplace still didn't work, they walked me through the steps to program it to the remote (which we now had). Such great expertise and service. I am deeply impressed by their honesty at not trying to sell me another service call and at solving the problem which we had been struggling with for 5 months.
